Explore on foot

There’s always something wonderful to discover on a springtime hike. You can explore unspoilt traditional villages, sites of historic interest and see the spring flowers blooming in the national parks.

Spring brings a lot of bird life to the island and so it’s the perfect time to take your binoculars out with you and see what you can spot. You’ll see plenty of swifts and swallows at this time of year, as well as bee-eaters. If you’re lucky you may even get to see a cuckoo or a stork.

Discover the beauty of the Akamas peninsula

Spring is the perfect time to take a trip to the Akamas peninsula. Here you’ll find approximately 530 different species of plants, many of which will be in bloom during the springtime. It’s one of the most beautiful sights on the island at this time of year.

Of course Cyprus is famous for its golden sand beaches and crystal clear waters. Visit in spring, and the beaches are so tranquil. The summer tourists haven’t yet arrived and an air of peace descends across the beaches. Many local wineries are opening up their doors and you can take a tour to see how these delicious wines are made.
